And every other song is written to the tune of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy", which the music snob in has to point out is not the name of anything Beethoven wrote, but is just the choral part of the 4th movement of the 9th Symphony. It must be easy to be an organist/pianist in a Catholic paris...

As an aside it is interesting how the new rite of Mass has more or less official music (Haugen/Haas/Schutte/etc.) and "art" (Rupnik).

Eamon Duffy's "Ten Popes Who Shook the World". I read it shortly after reverting back to the faith and was a bit bothered by it. I don't want to say he was critical of the Church's claim of an unbroken line since St. Peter... but there were comments here and there which shook my fledging ...

He's Catholic. Also, note that a majority of both houses voted in favor. More grandstanding. But the real culprit is the Attorney General an angry former Catholic with an axe to grind. She spen 4 years pushing for this law, she has also been pushing a law to force churches to perform gay marriages....
