When I was in high school (mid 1990s) an admired male teacher was caught in bed with a girl who just finished her Junior year. The mom was apparently on vacation all week and "Mr. Tom" came over to her house.... only to have the mom spring into the room catching him with her daughter.

Interestingly enough, this same daughter (when she was 16) was "caught in bed" with her boyfriend who had turned 18 a few months previously. They had been dating when he was 16 years of age. Mom is apparently gone for the weekend only to burst through the door while the two are in bed. I'm not saying the mom and daughter planned this out, just very weird.


Anyway, after "Mr. Tom" got busted I would regularly hear that this is the problem with male teachers... being given to dalliances with young women. And, male teachers apparently being unable to control their urges.

Back in 2010 (close to 20 years from when i had graduated) there was a website (I cannot find it anymore) where it was compiling the list of female teachers that had been busted for similar behaviors, now directed at young boys. you could click on any letter of the alphabet and be brought to a page with numerous entries for last names being with that letter. The site was taken down shortly after I had first seen it.

Watching True Crime channels on youtube a week doesn't go by where these is the suggestion of a video showing some attractive grade/middle school teacher wearing a prison jumper as she's in a courtroom hearing her verdict.

I'm given to assume that this problem is worse now than it had ever been with male teachers towards female students of a similar age group.


Even at my kids own elementary school... some of the teachers dress in ways that, if I were an 8th grader I would have been 'conflicted'. Thankfully in the late 80s early 90s most female teachers had haircuts like John Travolta and wear the same floral patterns summer dress.... and smelled like Liz Taylor's White Diamonds (YUCK).

I don't know that it is more common, only less tolerated. There is the unjustified assumption that only men can be sexual predators, and women can't be because men like it. It has only been very recently that older women taking advantage of underage boys has come to be seen as bad as the reverse.

An obvious factor is that teachers are now mostly, approaching exclusively, women. Thus adult female sexual crimes against juvenile males is becoming the norm.

Several thoughts:

It is my contention that Western feminism has produced women who are narcissistic and who have a primal need for continual affirmation, principally sexual affirmation.

In a culture of entitlement that, among other things, promises no consequences for actions, women commit sexual crimes with no expectation of a negative result.

The impact of getting caught, charged, and convicted of sexual crimes is demonstrably less for women than men. Often the consequence of statutory rape for a woman is probation, rather than jail.

Sexual crimes committed by women are often hushed up. Particularly if the victim is female. In DW's school a female teacher was literally caught by her husband in bed with a female student. The result was no criminal referral, voluntarily giving up her teaching credentials, and her resignation. BTW, the female teacher simply reclaimed her credentials and moved to another school district.

It is often stated that male on female sexual crimes are not about sex, but about power. I offer that female on male sexual crimes, particularly against minors, is all about power.

I don't think it has anything to do with feminism; older, adult women desiring sex with an adolescent male is an abnormal sexual desire, the causes of this are biological and psychological, and ideology has nothing to do with it.
