Vigil mass before Holy Day (Immaculate Conception)

I was looking for a vigil mass for the Immaculate conception (12/8/2025) which would be on a Sunday.

I researched some parishes that had 5pm masses and I thought that would count.
When I looked at the masses, they were going to have the readings for that Sunday, and not for the Immaculate Conception.

Does this mean that such masses would not count as vigil masses for Immaculate Conception?

We wound up going to mass on Monday anyway, but for future reference did I misinterpret the rules?

Church law says that you have to attend Mass in a given time frame. It says nothing about what the prayers and readings have to be. So a Mass on Sunday evening would satisfy the obligation for the Immaculate Conception no matter what the prayers and readings are.
