I had a buddy in the Guards once who told me he did some work on Felix Pappalardi's house--I think it was a test, because he was assuming I wouldn;t know who he was. I did, although at the time it was because of his work with Cream rather than because of Mountain. We were great pals thereafter.

I have never liked The Doors, I remember when the Oliver Stone movie came out when I was in high school, everyone was talking about how much they loved and how great The Doors were as a band, but I liked neither the movie nor the band, I was the odd man out.
