My niece will begin her career as a teacher this fall....teaching 4th grade at a Catholic School in the diocese of Wichita. When my wife and I asked her what we could get her as a gift she mentioned that something religious for her classroom would mean more to her coming from us since I am a Permanent Deacon and can bless the item before gifting it to her. I am honored that she feels that way.....but what would be a good gift for us to get for her?? A crucifix comes to mind immediately, but I suspect that the classroom will already have one of those.

What about an image of Our Lady Help of Christians? Her advocacy is much needed these days.
