This is why people hate politics

This is not an attack on Democrats so much as it is a general comment about hypocrisy.

A North Carolina politician named Mark Robinson endorsed Trump. And now it has been revealed he has apparent ties to pornography. So the Democrats are now saying, "Tie Robinson to Trump" because, for the first time in recorded history, the Democratic party is anti-porn? How convenient, it is okay for porn to be in school libraries, and it is wrong for schools to install blocking software on school computers to prevent students from searching for porn, but okay.

It is the same with Trump's alleged marital infidelity, which may well be true, suddenly, they are offended by adultery? Since when?

Yeah, you can find examples the other way around, this isn't about partisanship.

As a North Carolinian, I am not a big fan of Mark Robinson, and I have no idea whether this new set of charges is legit or not. Last I knew, he wholly denied them. If they're true, it's not just that he has ties to pornography, it's that he (a) was active on a hook up website and (b) posted something about being a black Nazi and suchlike. It's hard to recover politically after self-identifying as a nazi! But I have not looked at any news this morning to see if there are updates, what the evidence really is, etc. Robinson was already pretty far behind in the race, so this attack (justified or otherwise) seems more focused on harming Trump here in this important swing state than on harming Robinson, who would have lost one way or the other.

Maybe I don't get out enough, but, I would fall over in a faint if someone said they were pro-porngraphy in school libraries, regardless of their political affiliation.

From what I read about this particular politician, the scandal is the Nazi stuff, not that he used pornography... because more people than not have used pornography at some time (source)

My name was tagged on a porn-ish site on Facebook. I don't know the person who tagged me. I tried to get my name removed, but FB informed me that the person didn't violate Community Standards, request denied. I couldn't even un-tag myself.

I know of instances where a person made rude comments on their friends' pages, but knew nothing about it, couldn't even see the comments they supposedly made. I don't know how that's done, cloning I suppose, but I know that it happens. I'm not defending this person, but I think it would need to be thoroughly investigated to get to the truth. I'm reserving judgment on this one, because I don't trust social media to be safe.

Nobody says they're pro-pornography. You just have to peek inside the books the so-called anti-censorship groups are pushing. Some books contain graphic images which are so egregiously offensive I would get banned if I posted examples here.

Do you have some titles? I've not seen any "books with graphic images" such as this being questioned in our school libraries.

Double standard = corruption.

Both R and D halves of the One Party System are corrupt.

1. Gender Queer - Maia Kobabe
2. Flamer - Mike Curato
3. This Book Is Gay - Juno Davison
4. Lawn Boy - Jonathan Evison
5. Let's Talk about It: The Teens Guide to Sex - Erika Moen/Matthew Nolan

Perhaps the librarian where you live has a conscience and the books aren't in the stacks. But just in case, be prepared to be angry. They are sickening.

I've not forgotten about this, but, I have not had time to contact the area school libraries yet
