Re: The Freak Out over Anglican Ordinations
Validity and other such concepts would still not lead me to participate in any religious activity with any Anglican "priest". Sitting in a pew, listening to the first sermon delivered by a priestess, unmoored me. Subsequent statements and actions by Anglican clergy,, coupled with conversat...

Given recent events and those I see in local parking lots, grocery store lines, and Costco ... there is significant depth in this.

Re: The Freak Out over Anglican Ordinations
I ask this seriously and without a desire to stir the pot. As a former Episcopalian, confirmed by a former Episcopal priest, and once in the Episcopal "Diocese" of Monsignor Jeffrey N. Steenson (initial ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter), I have followed the ...

Re: IDF says image of soldier destroying Jesus statue in Lebanon is real
Since a logical fallacy is being attributed ... whataboutism ... a new one to me, perhaps we should consider another ... cherry picking. Where the actions of a few, two in this case, are used to assert a broader population characteristic. It could be argued, I suppose, that a hasty generalization is...

Re: Trump blasts Pope Leo in new social media post
When Trump misses, he misses. Reminds me of baseball, where a batting average of .300 is considered great. Trump bats about .600, perhaps the best ever. but he's not playing baseball.

"Service Animal"? Right. I gather that service animals now ride around stores in baby carriages. As I have seen.

Smart people without wlsdom, much of which is learned through experience IRL, are sure they are right. Act accordingly. Act effectively. With results like our contemporary universities and Marxist economics.

What if the philospher's writing is read through the lenses of language, translation, era, and culture? The content might be seen through a glass darkly. HST, my attempts to read philosophers have been uniformly defeated ... probably my unwillingness to wrestle with the texts.

Re: Pope Leo: God ‘does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war’
The core issue, I think, is the ongoing extinction of the old world order ... which began right after WWII ... and the ongoing suicide of the West which was ignited and is fueled by the inanities and outright economic idiocy of Marxism, modern liberalism, and the decadence of Western affluence. The ...

Re: Trump blasts Pope Leo in new social media post
Let me paraphrase another post, read elsewhere, which echos my issue with the Pope ... and his predecessor. The post was made in response to the Pope laying a wreath honoring Algerians who drove the French from Algeria: If you have the time and inclination to honor the people who violently drove Cat...
