28th OT
2 Kings 5:14-17
I invite us to read the complete story of King Naaman and Elisha. Here, we only have the end. It is worth the joy of reading this story starting from verse 1. 2 Kings 14:1-17
Naaman was a general, and a leper.
He was sent to Elisha, who did not receive him, but sent a servant to tell him to bathe seven times in the Jordan River.
Naaman became very angry. Elisha did not do as the general had previously said, with oil and healers. So he refused to bathe.
But his servants said to him, "If the prophet told you to do something extraordinary, would you not do it? All the more since he told you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?" Naaman went and bathed.
We too often think that the spiritual life must be difficult. There is nothing difficult with God. It's too easy.
As Saint Pope John XXIII tells us: "Let us simplify complicated things and not complicate simple things."
2 Tim 2:8-13
"If we persevere we shall also reign with him."
It is not necessary to endure temptation to reign. The reign of God is gentle and simple. Let us become more ourselves, balanced in God's Love, and the radiance (reign) of God’s will touch and rejoice the hearts around us.
Luke 17:11-19
The purified man replies to Jesus:
"This foreigner returned to give thanks to God!"
And yet, it is so simple to give glory, to give thanks to God. Every time we experience joy and peace, let us give thanks, and give glory to God.
Every time we do something good, let us give glory to God, for it is He who gives us the goodness to be good. This will also remind us that God is with us at every moment.

Rom 1:1-7
"Through him we have received the grace of apostleship."
We receive God's grace. For the sake of our mission, let us listen to what the Holy Spirit, the Love of God, says to our hearts.
Luke 11:29-32
Jesus said:
"This generation is an evil generation."
In fact, it means that many people seek God when God is already with them.
What God created is good. Let us welcome the grace of God that is within us.

Rm 1:16-25
"Although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God."
God's Love is the Intelligence that leads us in our hearts to listen to the peace and joy of the Lord.
Luke 11:37-41
"Of course, you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish."
Jesus simply wants to bring people within themselves, to rediscover peace and joy. This helps them to reflect better and condemn less.

28th OT
Rm 2:1-11
"By the standard by which you judge another you condemn yourself."
We only know the 1% of a person. And their failings are not their reality.
Let us learn to entrust to the Lord the evils and discomforts we see in a person. This will detach us from them and prevent us from doing worse... from slander to gossip.
Let us remain free from everything and entrust everything to God.
Lk 11:42-46
Jesus says: "You pay no attention to love of God."
Yes, indeed, Jesus says so.
God's love is the simplest thing. Let us find joy and peace in our hearts and return to it constantly.
This is how we become friends with God, bathed in His Love, and how we become freer day by day. This freedom is the joy that inspires us to tell people that God loves them and to receive His Love.

28th OT
Rm 3:21-30
"A person is justified by faith apart from works of the law."
A person becomes righteous by welcoming the Righteous One, Jesus. God's righteousness is transmitted by His Love. The only law, the one on which we base ourselves, is that of God's Love.
Luke 11:47-54
Jesus said to the lawyers: "You have taken away the key of knowledge."
"The key to knowledge" is the understanding of God's Love.
That is, the knowledge we have is limited to earthly things.
The understanding of Love, of the Holy Spirit, is not limited, and it is what we receive in the peace and repose of our hearts, of our beings.
Joy and peace within us teach us the Intelligence of God, for joy and peace are the Holy Spirit.
Let us observe the joy of the child within ourselves and in others. Let us entrust to the Lord all that is negative, burdensome, useless from the past and anxiety about the future.
We are on a journey and we will soon discover wonders.

Rm 4:1-8
"Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
Listening to God, helps a person become more righteous, more in tune with God's Love.
Lk 12:1-7
In today's Psalm (Ps 31 (32):1-2, 5ab, 5c.11), it is written:
"Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes no guilt, in whose spirit is no deceit."
We punish ourselves; we torture ourselves; we hold offense against ourselves. We find it difficult to forgive and to forgive ourselves.
Let us receive God's Love, joy, and peace every day, and we will discover that God Loves us infinitely more than the greatest joy we have ever experienced.

28th OT
2 Tim 4:10-17b
Saint Paul says: "Luke is the only one with me."
It is a joyful experience to know people who move forward in peace and joy, in the Love of God.
The Lord's evangelization is transmitted through simple joy, the joy of a child.
The basis of a blueberry pie is blueberries.
The basis of the mission of God's work is joy. Not nervous laughter, but the joy of a child.
Luke 10:1-9
Jesus says: "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few."
Let us say that there are many workers who do not know they are capable of joy, peace, and the transmission of these joys.
The joy within us must be shared if we wish to discover (uncover) it more fully.
Let us pray to the Master of the mission to send evangelizers. Let us remember that the Missionary and the Evangelizer are the Holy Spirit, it is his work, it is the work of God.

28th OT
Ex 17:8-13
"As long as Moses kept his hands raised up, Israel had the better of the fight."
What is certain is that it was not God who made them stronger, since God is not at war. God is Love, peace, and joy.
2 Tim 3:14 – 4:2
"From infancy you have known [the] sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus."
A musician, Antony Banks, once said that to compose music, he looks for the joyful notes on the keyboard.
To find the treasure, the Heart of God in the Bible, it’s to find His joy. The wisdom of the Scriptures is to find God's joy in the Scriptures.
Luke 18:1-8
Jesus said, "Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night?"
Let us live each day in God's presence, with God's presence within us, and we will not seek him, we will not cry, we will not call out to him. There is no need to call out to God, God knows, God is with us.
God is with us, right now, right now, right now, and he loves us.

Jesus accomplished everything. God accomplishes everything with Love.
Lk 12:13-21

29th OT
Rm 5:12, 15b, 17-19, 20b-21
"How much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one person Jesus Christ overflow for the many?"
Yes, and grace is poured out on us and in us too.
Lk 12:35-38
This sentence is quite simple:
Jesus says, "Be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks."
This means welcoming God's presence, being with him at every moment. In this way, there are no surprises.

29th OT
Rm 6:19-23
"You are not under the law but under grace. (v. 14)"
We are God's friends.
Lk 12:49-53
Jesus said: "For from now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three."
This division may seem like family tensions. These tensions do exist. But let us remember that Jesus is not talking about earthly things, but about the reality of heaven.
What does division have to do with heaven? Nothing. But this division is for us. What is the most important division? Cutting off evil and preserving what is of God: Love, joy, and peace.
Let us continue to distance ourselves from evil, from the past, and from the future. Let us live in peace, joy, and the in Love of God from now on.

29th OT
Rm 7, 18-25a
"Who will deliver me from this mortal body?"
This may give the impression that death and sin are the same thing. And this is perhaps why Paul speaks elsewhere not of death but of falling asleep during the transition from this existence to the kingdom of God. It is another way of mentioning resurrection in Christ.
Lk 12:54-59
Jesus said: "You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?"
We have a good idea when it will rain or shine.
For the rest, Jesus does not say to interpret the times in which we find ourselves in. He speaks only of the present moment.
We cannot interpret the present moment, nor can we interpret who God is, except for the joy, peace, and love of God within us. And we don't need to interpret this; we only need to experience it in this moment. The present moment is God’s grace.

"He is a God of justice, who shows no partiality."
God loves every human being. God loves me, God loves us.
2 Tm 4:6-8, 16-18
Let us listen to this message from Saint Paul: "From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day."
Paul's heart changed because he opened himself to Christ and allowed himself to be transformed by His Love. He gave the Holy Spirit full space in his life. He gives back to the community what he receives from the Holy Spirit.
Lk 18:9-14
The Gospel is quite long. But you will know which text it is. You can still read it in the NAB-RE, the internet, Daily reading.
The Pharisee takes first place and does not acknowledge his faults. Even more, for him, the others are wrong. He says, "O God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of humanity—greedy, dishonest, adulterous—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week, and I pay tithes on my whole income."
Pride gnaws at the Pharisee. One is like that, another is like that, and it continues.
"The tax collector stood off at a distance and says, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.'" He acknowledges that he is a sinner, and this is the message Jesus wants to convey to us.
Let's now step outside the text. In our time, there is another possible way of viewing the person who stands at the back.
Let's imagine that they say to themselves in their hearts, 'If I am always in last place, I will surely be a saint and enter heaven at the end of my many days.' This attitude would also be pride.
It's as if he’s saying, 'I will always place myself at the back, because I look at myself and humble myself before the Lord.'
Beware of pride.

Rm 8:12-17
"You received a spirit of adoption, through which we cry, “Abba, Father!'"
Ah! To live a relationship with God and allow ourselves to be Loved by Him. Marvelous.
Lk 13:10-17
Jesus healed: "Woman, you are set free of your infirmity.” He laid his hands on her, and she at once stood up straight and glorified God.
Healing, stems from God's Love and restores peace and joy.
But let us think here of the realities of heaven. There is a resurrection here, a return to joy, a return to God. As soon as a person lives with God in the present, miracles, resurrections... rather, God's Love circulates in their heart and passes through the hearts of the people along their path.

Eph 2:19-22
"You are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself."
Hallelujah! Glory to God!
Lk 6:12-19
People are waiting for Jesus at the foot of the mountain: "They came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and even those who were tormented by unclean spirits were cured."
The foot of the mountain signifies the low point in the lives of these people. They are exhausted.
Unclean spirits are anything that distances one from God. The negative aspect is an unclean spirit and does not help the existence of the person or those around them.
When we allow Jesus to pass through, the Love of God to pass through, into our lives, we discover wonders.

30th OT
Rm 8:31b-39
"No creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ."
It is up to us to continue to allow ourselves to be Loved by God. God already Loves us.
Lk 13:31-35
Jesus says to those who do not welcome Him: "Behold, your house will be abandoned."

30th OT
Rom 9:1-5
Saint Paul realizes that the Jews continue to be united with God, as we are.
Luke 14:1-6
Jesus says about the Sabbath, which is for humankind: "Who among you, if your son or ox falls into a cistern, would not immediately pull him out on the sabbath day?"
The Love of God that flows from Heart to Heart, the impulse of Love that leads to the well to raise out a child, is the essence of life.
The present moment is the best time for the Love, joy, and peace of God to flow from Heart to Heart.
