Missing Wedding Rings and Prayers to St. Anthony

Post by p.falk »

Back in February of 2011 a friend and I went out for some drinks at various places in Milwaukee. The next day he asked me if I could check my house and car for his wedding ring. After a long search no luck. I moved on then to calling all of the bars we were at that night. Similarly, met with no luck.

I was leaving work that day, riding the bus to the park and ride, and and pulling into that park and ride I prayed to St. Anthony as a last ditch effort. I open the door to my car and on the floor mat on the driver's side, I catch the light glint off his wedding ring. This was moments after finishing up that prayer. Not even 2 minutes would have passed.

Now today - I had been looking for my wedding ring over this weekend. Every place at my house was search with no luck. I shut my bedroom door and offered up a desperate prayer for St. Anthony's assistance. I stand up and turn toward my dresser and give one last look at alittle tray that has old business cards and crosses broken off their chains... and underneath everything was my wedding ring.

Unrelated, but I have discovered that when I misplace my iPhone in my apartment, all I have to do is say "Siri, where are you?" and it says "Here I am", repeat and follow the sound until you find it
If you ever feel like Captain Picard yelling about how many lights there are, it is probably time to leave the thread.

About 20 years ago or so my wedding ring fell off while I was sleeping - still not quite sure how it happened, but I went to bed with it and woke up without it - and I couldn't find it anywhere. I went into work and was off the whole day, I had co-workers praying to St. Anthony for me. My wife tore everything off the bed and remade it, couldn't find it. I come home and go upstairs to pray and there's my wedding ring in the center of the bed on top of the coverlet.

I prefer asking St. Anthony for help to asking Siri. But, I admit, Siri could be a referral by St. Anthony.
